Full-Time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

Mountain Top Cardiology Consultants is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed outpatient practice within the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC). This full-time position requires a compassionate healthcare provider who will operate onsite in Brooklyn, New York, under the collaborative management of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director of the Cardiology Division.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative. As part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner will engage with cardiologists, fellow nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative staff to provide seamless patient care. Our facility is designed to promote efficient and effective outpatient services, allowing our team to focus on delivering high-quality care. The schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no evening or weekend obligations, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will take on critical responsibilities that directly impact patient outcomes, including:

• Collaborating with cardiologists to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, performing regular follow-ups to assess treatment efficacy.
• Providing outpatient Electrophysiology services, including managing patients with abnormal electrocardiograms, arrhythmias, and device patients.
• Addressing acute cardiovascular conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and stroke management with comprehensive assessments and treatments.
• Conducting stress testing and interpreting results to inform treatment decisions.
• Documenting detailed patient histories and performing comprehensive physical examinations to inform clinical decisions.
• Prescribing medications as necessary and providing clear guidance on medication management.
• Facilitating referrals to specialists within the practice to ensure continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families about cardiovascular health, condition management, and preventive measures effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve adults experiencing various cardiac conditions, ranging from routine follow-ups to complex diagnoses requiring personalized care. Our patients value the convenience of concierge medicine, making it critical for our NPs to deliver not only clinical excellence but also compassionate support throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing or a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and a valid New York State nursing license.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program relevant to cardiology.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

Ideal applicants will have:

• Professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on outpatient cardiology or related fields.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac care protocols, procedures, and the latest advancements in cardiology.
• A passion for ongoing education, including the pursuit of CME credits to stay current in cardiology practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
