Position Overview

The Recovering Hope Care Center in Brooklyn, New York, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient cardiology practice. This is a full-time position where the NP will work under the leadership of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and guided by the Medical Director in the Division of Cardiology. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive cardiac care and managing patients with various cardiovascular conditions, contributing significantly to improving patient health outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is strictly onsite within a hospital facility in Brooklyn. The work environment fosters teamwork, where Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals collaborate in a dynamic outpatient setting, supporting one another to deliver exceptional cardiology care. Your weekdays will be structured without the burden of night shifts, weekends, or on-call duties, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Cardiologists and fellow NPs to provide ongoing patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Assess and manage patients suffering from chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol through regular follow-ups and adjustments to treatment protocols.
• Deliver specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services aimed at patients displaying abnormal EKG results, palpitations, or other arrhythmias.
• Diagnose and manage acute conditions including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA).
• Conduct stress testing and interpret results to guide treatment decisions when necessary.
• Maintain patient records and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, prescribing medications as indicated.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within our care network for conditions that require further intervention.
• Provide education for patients and their families about managing cardiovascular health and preventive care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The nurse practitioner will serve a diverse patient population predominantly drawn from Brooklyn and surrounding areas, comprising individuals with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. You will encounter a wide range of cases, from routine follow-ups for stable chronic conditions to urgent consultations for patients experiencing acute cardiac issues, providing you with invaluable experience in the field of cardiology.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, followed by a completed accredited nurse practitioner program relevant to Cardiology.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred for enhanced clinical knowledge and practice ability.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in managing cardiovascular patients in either outpatient or inpatient settings is strongly preferred, but new graduates who demonstrate strong clinical knowledge will also be considered.
• Familiarity with cardiac assessment tools, electronic medical records (EMR), and telehealth services is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary range of USD 160,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education. Additional benefits include:
