Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, using standardized screening tools and interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a supportive environment for clients to share experiences and cope with challenges collaboratively.

• Engage in continuous communication with case managers and psychiatrists to coordinate care, discussing treatment progress and adjusting plans as necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support to clients in acute distress, and developing safety plans when necessary.

• Promote mental health awareness through community outreach events and educational workshops, striving to decrease stigma associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At My Light Counseling Center, you will predominantly serve a diverse population, including individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This role requires sensitivity and cultural competence to effectively address the unique needs and experiences of each client. You will also engage with clients facing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.

Qualifications\n

• Hold an active and independent license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Possess a completed master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships.

• Exhibit strong organizational skills and proficiency in record-keeping, ensuring all documentation meets compliance standards.

• Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development and cultural humility.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in community health settings, with knowledge of resources available to clients and their families.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques, adapting interventions for virtual delivery.

• A background in substance use treatment and recovery support services is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
