Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your role will encompass various responsibilities, including but not limited to: Applying appropriate mental health therapy techniques, interventions, and evidence-based practices to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders across diverse client demographics. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to develop tailored treatment plans, including initial discharge planning based on client needs. Facilitating engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions that align with each patient's treatment goals and preferences. Coordinating additional therapeutic services as required, continuously revising treatment plans to reflect progress and emerging needs. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy services as per organizational policies and professional standards. Managing and maintaining an assigned caseload while being actively involved in treatment team meetings to foster collaborative care approaches. Exhibiting a consistent, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards clients, addressing any unmet needs or complaints promptly and effectively. Prioritizing the safety and well-being of clients, recognizing it as a fundamental aspect of care. Executing additional duties as needed to ensure comprehensive patient support. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will predominantly focus on a diverse clientele, including adolescents and adults facing various mental health challenges. Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Current state or national licensure as a professional therapy provider, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. Preferred Experience In addition to the required qualifications, candidates with experience in providing therapy to a spectrum of populations across the lifespan, including specific work with children and adolescents, are highly valued.
