Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in our organization, you will undertake a variety of key responsibilities including:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health conditions and substance use issues, with a focus on recognizing co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborating with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices addressing both mental health and substance use needs.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance clients' coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and emotional regulation abilities.

• Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure the delivery of comprehensive treatment plans.

• Implementing regular monitoring of substance use patterns and applying motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client adherence to treatment.

• Educating clients and their families about the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of ongoing treatment and engagement.

• Documenting treatment progress, interventions, and client referrals accurately, adhering to all ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities to remain at the forefront of co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies.

Your focus will be on serving individuals with co-occurring disorders, including those who struggle with both mental health issues and substance use challenges. These clients face unique struggles requiring specialized therapeutic approaches. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the relationship between mental health disorders and substance use issues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

We seek candidates with a minimum of two years of direct experience in clinical settings focused on integrated care for mental health and substance use disorders. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technologies may also be viewed as advantageous in facilitating client interactions and treatment delivery.
