This remote position allows for flexibility while working closely with an interdisciplinary team based in our outpatient office in Saint Petersburg. The work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some evening hours required on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client and incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Provide individual and group therapy focusing on the development of coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals as per ethical standards and legal requirements.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing the dual challenges of mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies specific to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Demonstrated understanding of the complexities surrounding the interplay between mental health issues and substance use disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, candidates with experience in integrated care models or working with co-occurring disorders will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous, as it will enhance your efficiency in documenting and managing client interactions.
