Larson Counseling Center is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to become an integral part of our dedicated integrated care team. The selected candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, alongside a sign-on bonus.

The operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with additional evening hours implemented on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Thoroughly evaluate clients' mental health and substance use challenges, identifying co-occurring disorders through standardized assessment tools and individualized interviews.

• Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment strategies that utilize evidence-based interventions. Focus on addressing both mental health and substance use requirements to facilitate concurrent healing.

• Deliver Individual and Group Therapy: Lead therapy sessions that equip clients with coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills. Foster a supportive environment conducive to sharing and growth.

• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Care: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure coherent and effective treatment plans are executed. Keep communication clear and continuous among team members.

• Monitor Substance Use Progress: Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support clients through regular substance use monitoring. Encourage clients to articulate their challenges and celebrate their achievements.

• Educate Clients and Families: Provide insightful education regarding the interplay of mental health and substance use disorders, fostering an understanding of treatment importance and compliance.

• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines by documenting treatment progress, interventions, and referral actions promptly and accurately.

• Participate in Ongoing Learning: Engage in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest methodologies in co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Larson Counseling Center, you will work primarily with clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These individuals often require integrated and compassionate approaches to address their diverse needs. Your expertise and interventions will directly contribute to their recovery journey, guiding them through the challenges of withdrawal, emotional regulation, and long-term psychological healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work , Marriage and Family Therapy , Mental Health Counseling , or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Florida.
\n
• Knowledge in evidence-based therapies applicable to co-occurring disorders, including but not limited to Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals suffering from co-occurring disorders.

• Experience in delivering therapy in both individual and group formats.

• Familiarity with community resources and support systems for mental health and substance use treatment.
