Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will undertake a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:

• Engaging actively in both individual and group supervision sessions to foster professional development.
\n
• Collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority to provide accurate enrollment and discharge data concerning problem gambling treatment clients.
\n
• Coordinating joint case planning and behavioral health strategies with community partners such as schools, group homes, police departments, district attorney offices, and other agencies within the Department of Human Services.
\n
• Delivering educational sessions and informational workshops about behavioral health and addiction prevention to various community groups.
\n
• Participating in ongoing training, meetings, and conferences as prescribed by administration, applying insights gained to enhance agency operations and client outcomes.
\n
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) plan for the agency, encompassing the design of necessary policies and procedures.
\n
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support organizational needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You'll primarily work with adult clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your ability to employ a person-centered approach will help clients navigate their circumstances, enabling them to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will hold a Doctor of Psychology (PhD or PsyD), a Master's Degree in Social Work, a Master in Professional Counseling, or a Master of Family Therapy from a nationally accredited institution that meets the licensure requirements in Oregon and/or Washington. Furthermore, candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience providing mental health counseling services.

Preferred Experience\n

While three years of experience is a minimum requirement, candidates with experience in outpatient therapy settings, crisis intervention, and community agency collaborations will stand out. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and group counseling methodologies will be advantageous.
