Work Environment

This full-time role is primarily conducted onsite at skilled nursing facilities as well as in home care settings, where hands-on patient interactions are paramount. The position offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 7 am and 4 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, ensuring alignment with their specific conditions and rehabilitation goals.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive patient care during therapy sessions.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic options, techniques, and home exercises that will aid in the recovery process.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and attend care plan meetings to provide meaningful updates and contribute to effective decision-making.
• Perform daily documentation and patient records management, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through attending workshops, conducting facility-wide educational sessions, and maintaining current best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The orthopedic physical therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This role is critical in not only improving physical function but also in enhancing the overall quality of life for our patients, many of whom may face significant challenges in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing from the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• You must possess a current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and team members.
• A commitment to quality patient care, integrity, and an enthusiasm for professional growth and collaboration within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or home care setting is preferable.
• A proven record of engaging and influencing patients, families, and caregivers through educational initiatives and therapeutic processes.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and agency regulations governing physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting the expertise and contributions you will bring to our clinic.
