Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that reflect the complexities of each client’s life, factoring in personal history, current stressors, and mental health challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, tailored to meet the needs of each client while considering their unique circumstances.

• Engage clients through evidence-based therapeutic modalities—including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies—to effectively address their mental health conditions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere to help clients express their thoughts and feelings.

• Document treatment progress meticulously, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including geriatric psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated care pathways for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary client focus includes adults, particularly older adults facing various mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. In this role, you will be expected to understand geriatric mental health frameworks, addressing cognitive changes and supporting individuals and their families through the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and current best practices in therapy.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients and their families while demonstrating a patient-centered approach.

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional improvement.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, with demonstrated success in providing therapy to older adults.

• Experience in utilizing telehealth modalities to deliver therapy sessions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
