For some areas, B.A./B.S. with successful teaching experience in the field may be considered. Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy or related, as well as training and teaching experience relevant to the course or area of specialization is preferred. For these areas, other qualifications apply: Electronics & Electronic Instrumentation Lecture/Lab, and Electronic Instrumentation & Control Systems Lecture/Lab M.A./M.S. with expertise in electronics is required. Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy or related field, training and successful teaching experience relevant to the course or area of specialization is preferred. Upper-division Physics Courses Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy or related field with appropriate Physics background is required. Preference will be given to candidates with successful teaching experience and/or training relevant to the course or area of specialization. The salary schedule information for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges: Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
