This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while still delivering high-quality mental health services. The counseling clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling based on patient need. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate prospective patients’ trauma histories and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized care strategies that address both trauma recovery and the building of resilience among clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide clients through their healing journeys.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to foster an understanding of trauma and assist clients in developing effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive treatment for each patient.

• Provide emergency crisis intervention to support clients during trauma-related incidents, ensuring immediate and effective response.

• Educate clients and their family members on trauma responses and introduce them to coping resources available within the community and the clinic.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and contribute to team meetings focused on trauma-informed care principles.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals affected by traumas, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and those experiencing complex emotional distress. By utilizing a trauma-informed approach, you will help clients navigate their healing processes, offering support and understanding as they rebuild their resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, along with knowledge of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, displaying empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, facilitating seamless patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who exhibit exceptional skills in delivering trauma-focused therapies will be considered. Experience in direct client interactions and responding effectively to crisis situations is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
