In this full-time role, you will specialize in providing comprehensive mental health care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by trauma, ensuring that they receive the support they need for recovery and healing.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while remaining fully engaged with our clients. While primarily virtual, you will be a part of a supportive and interactive team environment, participating in regular meetings and consultations to discuss patient care and share insights. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and inform personalized treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for patients to share their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and secure.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, contributing to the clinic's quality of care.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed practices and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Premise Therapy Center, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma in various forms, from emotional and physical abuse to loss and catastrophic events. Your expertise will support patients of diverse backgrounds, helping them process their experiences and build a pathway towards healing.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Must possess current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred, especially in trauma-informed care.

• Knowledge: Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities designed for individuals recovering from trauma.
\n
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with an ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also required.

• Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with prior experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies or working in similar community health settings will stand out. Compensation and Benefits\n
