Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized mental health assessments, therapeutic counseling sessions, and case management services to clients.
\n
• Engage in regular clinical consultation and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case-related concerns and share best practices.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
\n
• Attend and contribute to professional development workshops, webinars, and supervision sessions to enhance therapeutic techniques and service delivery.

• Stay informed about current trends and research in mental health to better serve our patients and contribute to program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will primarily work with Black birthing families, addressing their mental health concerns through culturally competent therapeutic interventions. Understanding the specific challenges faced by this demographic is essential for providing effective support and fostering positive outcomes. Your role will be crucial in helping clients navigate life transitions, postpartum challenges, and other stressors that impact mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• A valid and active license in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster trusting relationships with clients and colleagues across diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently, showing initiative and resourcefulness.

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Experience providing services in an outpatient or community mental health setting.
\n
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.
\n
• Background in working with maternal mental health issues is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
