Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients to determine mental health status and needs.

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique challenges.

• Facilitate regular sessions with clients, providing therapeutic support and coping strategies to bolster their mental well-being.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and refer clients to appropriate external resources, such as psychiatrists or community services, when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment adjustments in our EHR system.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

• Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, and eating disorders, among others. Understanding the varied backgrounds and experiences of clients is crucial for providing culturally sensitive and responsive care. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges through both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a strong therapeutic alliance and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant clinical experience in the field of mental health counseling.

• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches and cultural competence within therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
