Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, documenting from the first client interaction through the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental and emotional health statuses to develop tailored treatment plans that address specific needs.

• Implement individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions and offering interventions to promote healing.

• Regularly monitor client progress against established treatment goals, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Work alongside other healthcare professionals in formulating intervention strategies, ensuring integrated care for clients.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers about clients' needs, particularly for those requiring hospitalization.

• Proactively identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and work with clients and their families to address these challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, each presenting unique mental health concerns. You will work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues, among others. This role requires a commitment to understanding diverse client needs and delivering culturally competent care, which is essential for promoting recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, specifically in an outpatient or remote care environment.

• Keen understanding of various physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, and their treatment best practices.

• Familiarity with the guidelines established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current trends in psychotherapy.

• Knowledge of the impact medications prescribed by other healthcare providers may have on mental health treatment.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus!
