Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a well-respected hospital, known for its patient-centered services and dedication to community health. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams and evaluate patient medical histories to determine healthcare needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies, providing analysis to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop personalized treatment plans for managing both chronic and acute illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and monitor their effects while educating patients and families about medication management.
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, providing insights and recommendations to enhance continuity of care.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment plans.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in primary care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be adult and geriatric patients, with opportunities to engage in pediatrics as well. This diverse patient population presents unique health challenges, allowing you to apply your clinical expertise across a wide range of medical conditions. You will be instrumental in assessing and managing these patients through various stages of healthcare, emphasizing preventive care and patient education.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical experience in a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Proficient knowledge of health and patient care regulations and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
