Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, which encompass thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic tests to determine pain etiology.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with each patient’s specific pain management goals.
• Perform specialized procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks under direct supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, making crucial adjustments to treatment protocols when necessary to enhance outcomes.
• Educate patients about pain management strategies, encompassing medication management, lifestyle changes, and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care approaches that address physical, psychological, and social factors affecting patient well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve include those coping with various acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain, and neuropathic pain. You will play a vital role in improving their quality of life by providing comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to their individual experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program is required.
• Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant is mandatory to ensure compliance with New York state regulations.
