Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, designed to cater specifically to patients requiring pain management interventions. Your working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments that include taking detailed medical histories, conducting thorough physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting necessary diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the specific needs of patients with chronic pain conditions.
• Assist in executing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and physical rehabilitation strategies, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, available treatment options, lifestyle adjustments, and follow-up care to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and care goals to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will serve a diverse patient population experiencing a range of conditions related to chronic pain, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain syndromes. Our patients often seek a multidisciplinary approach to their care, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with physical therapists, mental health professionals, and other specialists to provide holistic treatment pathways.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies being strongly preferred.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.
• Must hold an active state license as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with a focus in pain management or a related specialty.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in conducting various pain management procedures, such as ultrasound-guided injections and spinal injections.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a patient-first approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pain management techniques and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, complemented by a competitive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement plans, and performance-based bonuses.
