Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our surgical center, you will work onsite within a collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare team. The center operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a focus on maintaining a balanced work-life schedule for all staff members. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with chronic pain conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic skills to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including pain management procedures and medication management, while closely monitoring patient responses and outcomes.
• Collaborate with case managers and other healthcare professionals in the development and coordination of comprehensive discharge plans for patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care.
• Engage with referrals from various specialties, acting as a consulting provider to address complex pain-related needs and facilitating appropriate hospitalization when necessary.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatments, including managing insurance requirements and timely appeals for any claims denials.
• Participate in outpatient consultations and rounds within the surgical center, contributing to on-call schedules to provide assistance in urgent cases as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically caters to patients with chronic pain conditions, including those seeking interventions for postoperative pain, neuropathic pain, and other pain disorders. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Active Physician Assistant license for the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
