Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant within our pain management department, you will work onsite in a hospital setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and administrative staff. The hospital is designed to cater to a diverse patient population, offering a supportive atmosphere where innovation and quality care are at the forefront. Your typical work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and individual health goals.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) to inform treatment decisions.
• Prescribing non-narcotic medications and establishing individualized physical therapy regimens based on patient needs.
• Scheduling and facilitating interventional procedures as required, ensuring alignment with best practices and patient safety protocols.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient charts and documentation, reflecting all evaluations and treatments.
• Engaging patients in dialogue to address their concerns, providing empathetic responses and fostering positive healthcare experiences.
• Collaborating with team members to continuously enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on adult patients dealing with chronic pain conditions, several of whom may have complex and multifactorial pain syndromes. You will play an integral role in helping these patients navigate their treatment plans, encouraging them to take an active role in managing their health, and delivering care that is sensitive to their unique circumstances and needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Current and active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A strong foundation of at least three years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally in pain management or related disciplines.
• Capability to perform thorough physical examinations and render accurate diagnoses.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues alike.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional experience in pain management practices, familiarity with pain management technologies, and an understanding of recent advances in pain treatment methodology will be favored. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is also a plus, as it enhances visitation efficiency and patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package in the range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
