Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of chronic pain patients, accurately diagnosing conditions and determining appropriate candidates for interventional procedures.
• Manage chronic medication prescriptions effectively in line with therapeutic goals while ensuring clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
• Collaborate regularly with supervising physicians and members of the healthcare team to ensure all aspects of patient care are being met.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnose acute and chronic illnesses based on clinical findings, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests, adhering to established protocols.
• Formulate, implement, and monitor management plans for patients under your care, utilizing clinical guidelines and professional judgment.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in pain management and continually enhance patient care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on patients experiencing chronic pain from various conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical recovery, and neuropathic pain. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program is required.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, specializing in pain management or musculoskeletal medicine is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills and organizational abilities are crucial for effective patient interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually , commensurate with your level of experience and qualifications.
