Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, understanding each patient’s unique background and experiences to inform tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and culturally adapted treatment techniques.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to promote healing and resilience, ensuring sessions are inclusive and relevant to patient demographics.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring comprehensive treatment that addresses all facets of a patient’s mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies and support, including immediate assessments and safety planning, during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, self-management strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support networks.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress compliant with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and professional development sessions to improve personal competencies and team efficacy continually.

• Stay updated on current research, methodologies, and cultural considerations impacting therapeutic practices to provide the best possible care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Demonstrated understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically tailored to diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Experience conducting group therapy and individual sessions using culturally responsive techniques.
\n
• Strong crisis management skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations and provide immediate support.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients from varied backgrounds.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other digital tools to maintain effective practice management.

• A commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and patient confidentiality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in telehealth services is a plus, given the remote nature of this position.

• Familiarity with culturally competent care practices and ADA compliance in therapeutic settings.

• Prior experience working in community health settings and understanding the dynamics of underserved populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
