Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, psychological wellbeing, and current mental health challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are rooted in evidence-based practices, aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience.

• Deliver a variety of therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for every client.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate care strategies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources that can further assist in their recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient records.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy and mental health counseling, continually refining your approach to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is primarily on individuals who have experienced traumatic events that impact their mental health. You will work with diverse populations, providing compassionate care tailored to the specific needs of trauma survivors. Our patients may present with various symptoms and challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related issues that require specialized attention and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably with a focus on trauma-related treatment.

• Robust knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, alongside an understanding of resilience and recovery-building approaches.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate demeanor that fosters trust and openness with clients.

• Capacity to remain composed and strategically respond in high-stress situations, facilitating effective crisis interventions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for effective documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n
