Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed preliminary interviews, collect comprehensive patient histories, and document findings from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify symptoms and create appropriate intervention strategies.

• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and various group settings, ensuring they are culturally sensitive and evidence-based.

• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions by employing various therapeutic modalities based on client needs and goals.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, utilizing metrics and feedback to adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with other mental health specialists, physicians, and community organizations to create a cohesive care strategy that addresses all facets of the client’s well-being.

• Provide follow-up care by coordinating with hospital psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require inpatient care.

• Recognize and intervene in behaviors that potentially hinder recovery, offering strategic guidance and support throughout the healing process.

• Assist families and caregivers in navigating the complexities associated with mental health challenges, providing education and resources to enhance their support effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will be instrumental in normalizing mental health care access and helping clients develop coping skills and resilience in a culturally sensitive manner.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical or therapeutic settings.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient patient documentation and care coordination.

• Knowledge of the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
