Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through thorough assessments and interviews to identify clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique circumstances, involving individual, couple, and group counseling strategies.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

• Monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement intervention strategies for shared clients, ensuring continuity of care.

• Document case details meticulously from initial consultations through to the conclusion of treatment, maintaining accurate records in compliance with telehealth regulations.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the complexities of mental health conditions impacting their loved ones.

• Engage in follow-ups with external healthcare providers regarding clients who require hospitalization or additional medical intervention.

• Proactively address potential barriers to recovery by identifying risk factors and implementing preventive measures.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied client population facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction disorders. You will play an essential part in empowering individuals and families to overcome obstacles, improve coping strategies, and enhance their overall quality of life. Whether working with children, adolescents, adults, or seniors, your commitment to understanding diverse perspectives will be key to delivering effective support.

Qualifications\n

• A completed Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth environment.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage patient information efficiently.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated expertise in treating individuals with co-occurring disorders, including addiction and underlying mental health issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A thorough understanding of the interactions between prescribed medications and mental health treatment.

• Strong clinical skills with extensive experience applying cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• Empathetic and warm interpersonal skills that contribute to a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus to acknowledge your valuable contributions to our team.
