Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention for individuals in distress, including arrestees who require immediate support.

• Collaborate closely with local law enforcement to accompany officers during mental health-related responses, applying de-escalation techniques effectively to ensure community safety.
\n
• Develop comprehensive action plans tailored to individual needs, including evaluating the need for 5150 and 5585 applications for involuntary detention, and coordinating transportation to necessary mental health facilities.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations in collaboration with police officers, ensuring thorough assessments are performed in-field to determine appropriate interventions.
\n
• Deliver short-term crisis counseling to non-violent individuals experiencing mental health episodes, helping to establish immediate support and follow-up care.
\n
• Provide case management support by liaising with external entities, such as the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting care plans as necessary.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all relevant regulations and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in training activities that encourage police staff to address mental health crises with sensitivity and efficacy, thereby reducing the likelihood of force escalation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
