Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews via virtual platforms, documenting client cases from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients through assessments, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies.

• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that foster growth and healing.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress on treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for any clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, employing intervention strategies when needed.

• Provide guidance and strategies to family members and primary caregivers to help them manage challenges associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Your expertise will be essential in addressing both acute and chronic mental health needs, providing clients with the support they require to improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Successful passage of the NCE and/or NCMHCE certification examinations.
\n
• A demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and adherence to best practices within the field of mental health counseling.

• Expertise in electronic health record systems; familiarity with AVATAR software is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a similar counseling role, particularly within telehealth settings.

• Experience addressing co-occurring conditions, including addiction disorders and physical health issues.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Proficiency in understanding the effects of medication prescribed by physicians on patients’ mental health.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal abilities and a sympathetic approach toward clients.
