Work Environment\n

This role is conducive to a remote work setting, providing flexibility while maintaining high-quality patient interactions through virtual platforms. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and individualized assessments to ascertain the needs and objectives of clients entering our substance use disorder program.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapies.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions where clients can share their experiences and support one another during recovery.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and emotions.

• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinated treatment approaches.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention support for clients in need during substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery resources, and effective coping strategies.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including participation in team meetings and case consultations.

• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in addiction treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on assisting individuals struggling with substance use disorders, as well as providing support to their families. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in California.

• A robust understanding of substance use disorders, coupled with familiarity regarding evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing both individual and group therapy within a substance use treatment context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
