Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Deliver individualized therapy sessions to a diverse client base, including families, couples, and individuals experiencing various mental health challenges.

• Document clinical notes accurately and maintain compliance with both ethical standards and legal regulations governing mental health practice.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients, participating in team meetings and case consultations.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training workshops to keep up with the latest in mental health research and evolving therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services primarily focus on individuals and families who face barriers to access mental health care, such as those from low-income backgrounds or marginalized communities. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Betis, you will address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties, employing culturally competent practices to ensure that each client feels understood and supported.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.

• Minimum two years of counseling experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is essential.

• Strong foundational knowledge of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health counseling.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
