This position comes with an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, alongside a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health during preliminary interviews, documenting all cases meticulously from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans catering to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a personalized approach to care.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and dynamic group therapy workshops aimed at fostering peer support and sharing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate efficiently with fellow mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive intervention strategies for clients.

• Follow up with health care professionals involved in client care, particularly for those who may require hospitalization or specialized treatment.

• Guide and train family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will involve supporting a diverse patient population that includes adults facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex disorders. You will primarily engage with patients looking for outpatient counseling, focusing on therapy that promotes recovery, resilience, and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
\n
• Evidence of successful completion of relevant national examinations (NCE and/or NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated track record as a mental health counselor with relevant clinical experience.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly with software like AVATAR, to streamline documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with clients managing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their implications on mental health treatment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to interacting with clients and other professionals in a clinical setting.
