This role is a remote position tailored for a mental health professional who values flexibility without compromising professional responsibilities. While the majority of work will be conducted from home, you will have access to an outpatient office designed for patient interactions when necessary. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts needed to accommodate client schedules. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying psychological needs and concerns.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the specific developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.

• Employ a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to help caregivers understand and support their children's emotional and psychological struggles.

• Collaborate closely with a team of child psychiatrists to ensure cohesive and holistic care across all therapeutic services.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance when needed.

• Educate families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on young individuals aged 5 to 18 experiencing a spectrum of mental health challenges. As a mental health counselor, you will engage with children and adolescents facing difficulties such as anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, and mood disorders. This role emphasizes individualized approaches that recognize the unique contexts and backgrounds of each patient, as well as their familial relationships, to foster a more effective therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Holder of a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience is preferred to ensure proficiency in delivering mental health services.

• Strong familiarity with child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a child-centered, compassionate approach.

• A proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and general technology usage in a clinical setting.

• Capable of working effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, reflecting the experience and expertise of the selected candidate.
