Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients’ psychological and emotional well-being during initial consultations.
\n
• Develop scientifically-backed, individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions designed for clients' unique needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions as well as group therapy interventions that foster a sense of community and support among clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress in treatment, adapting plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to coordinate care for clients.
\n
• Follow up on referrals, ensuring that clients receive the additional support they may need through specialists or other services.
\n
• Educate and aid family members and caregivers to effectively support clients in managing their mental health challenges.
\n
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will provide mental health support to a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Rosewood Counseling Services is dedicated to treating clients from various backgrounds and ages, recognizing the importance of culturally sensitive approaches in therapy. This allows you to tailor your techniques to fit the unique circumstances of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document care efficiently.
\n
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to establish rapport and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or telehealth setting.
\n
• Familiarity with addiction disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions is highly desirable.
\n
• Experience working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and exhibiting knowledge of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed for mental health conditions, as well as their potential effects.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
