Position Overview

Glimpse Edge Healthcare, Inc is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team focused on cardiology in New Rochelle, New York. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient environment, providing patients with high-quality care. Initially, you will engage in a comprehensive three-month training program that involves working five 8-hour shifts per week, which will transition to four 10-hour shifts to foster efficient work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient histories and comprehensive physical examinations to assess cardiovascular health.
• Evaluate and interpret diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and laboratory tests to manage patient health concerns effectively.
• Prescribe and manage necessary pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, writing orders and progress notes that reflect ongoing treatment and patient progress.
• Actively monitor the quality and accuracy of medical records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide continuity of care through follow-up appointments, ensuring patients understand their treatment protocols established in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Engage in open communication with physicians as well as educate patients and their families about heart health, preventive measures, and treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients suffering from a range of cardiovascular issues, spanning from acute to chronic conditions. Your role will involve ensuring that these patients receive the utmost care and follow-up needed to support their health. Emphasizing education about lifestyle changes and medication management is key to your interaction, empowering them towards better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a cardiology or similar healthcare setting.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling collaboration with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Specific experience in cardiology or a related specialty is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems to document care and manage patient data efficiently.
• Knowledge of current cardiology practices, medications, and treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
