Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify the needs and concerns of your clients, ensuring a customized approach to mental health care.

• Facilitating open lines of communication with multidisciplinary team members, family members, guardians, and relevant stakeholders to discuss progress and develop comprehensive care plans.

• Creating and managing a tentative schedule for appointments, including home visits, and ensuring those are executed effectively to monitor client progress.
\n
• Coordinating home visits that may involve in-home observations, chart reviews, and staff interviews to provide holistic care.
\n
• Implementing and monitoring program plans, ensuring they are adhered to and effective in achieving client goals.
\n
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights, strategies, and updates regarding client progress.
\n
• Documenting client progress through the completion of monthly and quarterly notes and maintaining records that are easily accessible for involved parties.
\n
• Training and certifying team members on program plan implementation and documentation standards.
\n
• Acting as a liaison between clients and the mental health community, advocating for individuals' needs and helping to achieve developmental goals.

• Assisting in the creation of training materials aimed at improving our service delivery methods for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with various populations, including both adults and youth facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. You will provide compassionate support and guidance tailored to the unique needs of each client, facilitating breakthroughs in their journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field and have an active, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. A minimum of 2 years of relevant counseling experience, particularly within a clinical context, is required to ensure that you are well-prepared to address client needs adequately.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma counseling, or substance misuse treatment will be given preference. A strong understanding of legal and ethical counseling standards, coupled with proven interpersonal skills for establishing rapport with diverse clientele, will greatly benefit your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with EMR software and related technologies is also essential to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
