Work Environment\n

This remote role allows you to provide care from any location, using telehealth technologies to reach clients effectively. You will engage in individualized therapy sessions through secure video conferencing tools, ensuring privacy and confidentiality. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of your clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that respect and acknowledge the diverse backgrounds of your clients to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting techniques to fit clients’ unique cultural and personal narratives, and employing methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant modalities.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that focus on addressing symptoms and fostering resilience, while promoting understanding and coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, effectively assessing risk and determining the best course of action.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training focused on cultural competency to continually enhance your professional growth.

• Stay informed on current research and best practices in the mental health field, applying this knowledge to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, paired with a strong commitment to cultural competence in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering effective individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive approach.

• Excellent crisis intervention skills and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.

• Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of successfully building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and technological proficiency necessary for remote therapy.

• Strong commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.

• A collaborative spirit with a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
