Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and intake interviews to gather comprehensive information about clients’ psychological states.

• Document each client's treatment journey meticulously, from the initial evaluation through every stage of therapy, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate in our electronic health record system.
\n
• Develop customized treatment and intervention plans for clients, taking into account their unique needs, mental health conditions, and personal goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions that encourage self-exploration and healing, as well as group therapy sessions to foster community and peer support.
\n
• Regularly review and monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
\n
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and psychiatrists, to create a more comprehensive intervention strategy for each client.
\n
• Provide follow-up care and coordinate with medical professionals for clients who may require hospitalization.
\n
• Equip family members and primary caregivers with the tools and strategies needed to support their loved ones through the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and substance use challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required; however, a Master’s or Doctoral degree in applicable disciplines is preferred.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent in New York State is mandatory.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and compassionate interactions with clients and team members.
\n
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and familiarity with best practices, including those advocated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of several years of professional experience providing mental health counseling services.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient data effectively.
\n
• Experience working with addiction disorders or co-occurring conditions is a plus.
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their implications for mental health therapy would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Adornfield Counseling Center values its employees, offering a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
