Position Title Assistant/Associate Professor, Psychiatry Responsibilities Patient care in outpatient clinics and consultation‑liaison settings with adults, adolescents, and children. Leadership and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and didactic settings. Development of the medical school curriculum and precepting third‑ and fourth‑year medical students. Consultation‑liaison services at University Medical Center (UMC) and outpatient care at Mojave Counseling. Minimum Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Demonstrate clinical practice within a multidisciplinary team in a community mental health outpatient setting. Show leadership and conflict resolution skills across diverse cultures and backgrounds. Successful completion of an accredited psychiatry residency by the time of hire. Must be ABPN certified in general psychiatry within two years of hire date. Preferred experience in acute‑care hospitals or community mental health settings. Credentials must be obtained before the start date. Eligibility for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, Nevada pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance.
