Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics (GSO) Department. This is a 12-month faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Role of the Position The successful candidate will provide outpatient and consultative care at the School of Medicine OBGYN Outpatient Centers and cover Labor and Delivery shifts at contracted hospitals. Responsibilities include: Outpatient and consultative OBGYN care. Laborist duties during assigned shifts. Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Engagement in scholarly activities, research, and education research. Advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgical skills (preferable). Qualifications Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology prior to employment commencement; certification must be completed within the first two years of employment if only eligible. Eligible for a Nevada medical license, malpractice coverage, and meeting credentialing requirements. Ability to obtain admitting privileges at applicable hospitals and/or clinics. State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license (Subject to background check).
