Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Aurora Mind Health Advocates, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patient's trauma history and mental health needs.

• Developing tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Utilizing evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide therapeutic work.

• Deliberately engaging in both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing trauma and acquiring effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care focused on clients' individual needs.

• Delivering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate and compassionate care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

Candidates for this role must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure to practice in Pennsylvania as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
