Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions and understand their symptoms, developing a strong therapeutic alliance.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and collaboratively formulate individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs and recovery goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring they learn proper techniques to maximize recovery and minimize the risk of injury.
• Utilize hands-on techniques such as massage or modalities to facilitate healing and pain relief.
• Assist patients in the proper use of mobility aids, including wheelchairs and walkers, while emphasizing safety and independence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, closely monitoring progress towards recovery goals and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding in-home treatment options and suitable exercises to support continuous recovery outside of therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.

• Proficiency with technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
