Work Environment

This role will be performed in the home care setting, where you will have the opportunity to engage with patients in a familiar and comfortable environment. Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on comprehensive evaluations and established therapeutic methodologies.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and activities designed to restore physical capabilities and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients and their families on body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to foster recovery and prevention of future injuries.
• Utilize various modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, to enhance treatment outcomes under your professional supervision.
• Monitor and document progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional performance.
• Prepare treatment spaces and ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies prior to therapy sessions.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team, engaging with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide emotional and motivational support to patients, creating a conducive environment for rehabilitation and recovery.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and integrity throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or home care physical therapy setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
