Work Environment

This role requires an onsite professional who will primarily operate within patients' residences, ensuring that therapy is delivered in the comfort of their own surroundings. Your schedule will typically involve routine visits Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, allowing for structured, yet personalized engagement with each patient. Our home care setting fosters a strong rapport between therapists and patients, enhancing trust and encouraging more effective therapy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, needs, and medical histories to identify their objectives and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring quality interactions that focus on patient engagement and motivation.
• Employ your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings to deliver evidence-based therapies aimed at enhancing mobility, reducing pain, and promoting functional independence.
• Administer treatments that incorporate cost-effective strategies to maximize each individual's range of motion and mobility while minimizing the necessity for medications or surgical interventions.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans using diverse therapeutic modalities, adjusting strategies as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Create tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific goals and encourage lifelong health and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and the services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating seamless communication within the care team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and refine patient care strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to health and wellness.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and maintain ongoing communication with patients, providing encouragement and education to facilitate their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, elderly patients facing mobility challenges, and those needing rehabilitation following injuries. A compassionate approach to care is critical, as you will be supporting patients in restoring their functional abilities and achieving their wellness goals in their personal environments.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to candidates holding an advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate).
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license to practice in the state of Florida without any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design and implement effective exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically experience with WebPT or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in home care or an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with a diverse range of patients and healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet your financial, health, and life-work balance goals.
