Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the biopsychosocial needs of patients, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring alignment with therapy goals and therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate individual, family, couples, and group therapy sessions, demonstrating clinical proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Collaborate with psychiatry and other relevant team members to participate in program planning, case conferences, and crisis intervention strategies.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

• Uphold ethical and professional standards in clinical practice, promoting a therapeutic environment built on trust and respect.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LPC will work with a diverse patient population experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, family issues, and trauma. You will engage primarily with adult clients, but will also facilitate family sessions and group therapy focused on building coping skills and resilience. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. A master's degree or doctorate in the same fields is preferred.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience in a clinical setting.

• Evidence of strong clinical skills in family therapy, couple’s therapy, substance abuse treatment, or trauma-informed care.

• A robust understanding of legal and ethical standards related to therapeutic practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients from varied backgrounds.

• Proficient in utilizing EMR software and other digital tools related to patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in primary care or medical settings is strongly preferred.

• Specialization in evidenced-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, etc.) is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Family Behavioral Guidance Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
