Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our team in Friendswood, Texas. This full-time position offers a flexible remote work environment where you will facilitate both telehealth and in-person therapy sessions. With a salary range of $70,000 to $110,000 per year, we are committed to providing you with the necessary resources and support to thrive both personally and professionally.

Work Environment\n

This role will primarily operate within an outpatient setting, allowing you to engage with clients both virtually and in-person as needed. Our practice is open seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, providing flexibility in scheduling therapeutic services. As a part of our enthusiastic team, you will enjoy working in a supportive atmosphere that values your input and contributions. We also ensure that you have a full clinical caseload established within your first 90 days post-credentialing, which is fully covered by the organization.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are trauma-informed to determine patients' backgrounds and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies aiming at trauma recovery and resilience building.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in their healing journeys.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling clients to process their trauma, develop essential coping skills, and foster an atmosphere of healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, enhancing their understanding and resilience.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that fulfills legal and ethical obligations.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focusing on trauma-informed care practices.

• Remain informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be considered favorably. Experience in working with couples is also beneficial; we provide specialized training to enhance these skills for those interested.
