Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and determine suitable treatment pathways.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall psychosocial well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, empowering them with knowledge of available resources and coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse patient populations who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from childhood abuse to traumatic loss. Understanding the complexities of trauma and its impact on mental health is critical. Each patient presents unique challenges, and as a therapist, your role is to facilitate a safe space for healing and recovery, implementing methods tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a thorough understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n
