This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while still engaging with a supportive professional community. You will benefit from a structured work schedule, adhering to standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Work closely with clients to develop tailored, personalized treatment plans based on individual goals and preferences.
\n
• Implement and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote better mental health outcomes.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal care throughout the therapeutic process.
\n
• Engage in collaborative practice by maintaining strong communication and cooperation with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals involved in client care.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of mental health and mood disorders to refine treatment approaches.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical requirements.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical expertise and adopt best practices in therapy.

• Advocate for clients and contribute to destigmatizing mental health issues, ensuring clients’ needs are met both within and outside the therapy setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on serving individuals struggling with various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will engage with a wide-ranging client demographic, providing tailored care that addresses specific cultural, social, and personal factors influencing their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• In-depth expertise in delivering recognized evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the collaborative ability to interact effectively with psychiatrist counterparts.

• A proven track record of achieving successful patient outcomes through targeted therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
