Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night rotation, 36 hours per week. Rotating schedule occurs every 4 weeks with straight shifts for 4 weeks, then rotating to the opposite shift for the next 4 weeks. Weekdays and some weekends (3-4 weekend days per month). Float assignments required within the healthcare system.

Highlights:

• Mixed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 27 beds and 6 transitional PCU beds
• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Diverse case mix including general medicine, organ failure, dysrhythmia management, chest tubes, PICC lines, IV antibiotics, and bedside procedures
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 36-hour orientation provided; PCU experience not required
• First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of RN experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills required: chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV starts and maintenance, peripheral and PICC line care, oxygen administration, substance withdrawal management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
