Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Positive Pathways Counseling Center, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify each child and adolescent's needs and challenges.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitating family therapy sessions to equip parents and caregivers with the tools to cultivate supportive home environments.

• Collaborating with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic care.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving young individuals.

• Educating patients and families about mental health conditions and available community resources.

• Maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality and documenting patient interactions in compliance with legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will work with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders, allowing you to directly impact their mental health journeys. By collaborating closely with families, our counselors not only address immediate concerns but also equip caregivers with strategies for ongoing support.

Qualifications\n

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy focused on the youth demographic.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep commitment to a child-centered therapeutic approach.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
