Desired Qualifications:

• Current teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
• Experience delivering instruction to students with varied learning needs in K-8 settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials effectively
• Familiarity with positive behavior supports and data-driven instruction is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess students to determine present levels of performance and monitor ongoing progress
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Facilitate IEP meetings, communicate effectively with families and contribute to the multidisciplinary team process
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their best
